ASP 1.1 & Report Server Login Problems

Hello everyone

we're having some strage trouble concerning ASP 1.1 and reporting services. We use a ASP 1.1 solution in which we authenticate Users using a self-written Login Mask. One page of the project consists of a report which is provided by report server. now, after displaying this report once, all other ASP 1.1 Forms do not work anymore, they simply keep empty.

My guess is that while conecting to the report server, an athenticated connection is established and kept up, even if the report is closed again.

thanks for any help

I'd have to see it to believe it. Can you post a screenshot of what you are seeing? If not, then can you describe the situation a bit further. The problem description appears to be much too general.

AS2000 problem!

We are developing a As 2000 solution and when processing the cube we get an Eventlog message 'The memory conversation threshold was exceeded by more then 12,5% for an extended period'!

Does anyone have any idea about this problem/issue?

Larra

Try upgrading to Service Pack 4. There was a similar issue reported against AS2000 SP3 that was fixed in SP4.

Hope that helps.

AS Processing Task

When using the AS processing task with a connection to "an Analysis Services project in this solution", only some processing options are available for processing dimensions. For instance, it is not possible to select "Process Update". Once I change the connection manager to point to the deployed cube database, I can choose from all the options. Is this by design?I have searched the documentation and the net for information on this. I have not been able to find an explanation. Anyone? At all? Smile

Arrange Items in Solution Explorer

Can the items, i.e. reports within the SSRS Report Designer Solution Explorer be arranged in a custom manner instead of being sorted alphabetically only?

Hi.

The reports in the solution explorer are ordered alphabetically when you open a solution/project; when you add them to an open solution/project they tend to be added just to the end.

I dont know of any way to change the default ordering, but as workaround you could just add a number prefix to the title of each report (e.g. 01-This report is top.rdl, 02-Another report.rdl etc.) so they are ordered in the way you want.

Hope this helps,

Gary.

Thanks for the reply.

I really want to avoid changing the report object names. Perhaps I will just leave it for now since it is just a cosmetical issue anyway.

Thanks again.

Kenny
